We aren't "neutral", we are generally quite dubious of the claims made by Tesla and their leadership, and have some fun at their expense. He has done and said many things that alienate potential buyers and make the company look bad, especially since they have no real PR department and he is basically the face of the brand.If you're interested in discussing the polarizing, ongoing soap opera that is Tesla, but you refuse to drink the Tesla Cult Kool-Aid, this is the place for you. Thirdly, Elon Musk’s reputation is an important factor. Add in the many horror stories about poor quality control and an overall reputation for cheap-feeling vehicles, and you get a perfect storm of factors that make these vehicles seem sub-par compared to newer options. They are losing their newness and “cool factor”, especially in light of newer EV options from other brands. They haven’t seen significant improvement over time and the Model 3 and Y are just now seeing their refreshes soon. Overall there are more EV options that may be a better value for the price or will fit people’s individual needs better. Now most brands have EVs so customers can remain brand loyal if they choose, and people just have more options in general.
For a long time Tesla has had a high number of new customers coming to the brand, but mainly because it was the only EV option. And whenever I see Elon retweet right-wing bullshit or unban Nazis on Twitter, I’m even happier that I didn’t give him any of my money.įirst, more and more EV options are becoming available. Personally haven’t had any issues with either of those things, I actually really love the car.

I want a car that when I park it I am not next to the exact same make/model/color. In california where I live, there is so many teslas(including me), they all look the fuckin same. 1) Elon, I dont want to buy a car from him because hes a total POS.Ģ) The new cars look identical to the ones 4-5 years old, and there is like 3 colors.
